Dad loves mom a lot. Mom absolutely loves and adores him as well. But there was something peculiar about his behavior that stayed with me. There were several times that he got the wrong groceries or forgot stuff or spent a little more than he should have according to mom on something he bought and she used to get upset with him. Mom was always a frugal, careful, responsible wife but sometimes forgot to add salt to the curry, or lost her wallet, or happened to break an expensive jar or plates at home while doing the dishes. He always stayed calm in all those instances. He never said anything to her, never got mad at her or got stressed. When asked why, he replied, “everything in my world is replaceable except her and she and this relationship is way more valuable, way more precious than anything.
